9^th Degree Coffee was founded by James McCormack in 2016. James’ love of speciality coffee started in 2011 when he founded Dublin Barista School. Fascinated by the entire coffee journey from farm to coffee shop he started training people in the skills of becoming a barista. Using some of Europe’s best speciality coffee roasters in his coffee shop over the years in 2016 he decided to invest in a small batch coffee roaster. It was that desire to control the coffee roasting stage of the coffee chain to give his customers something really special. This was the birth of 9^th Degree Coffee.

We source our coffee from small hold farmers who are growing the best speciality coffee in the world. The coffee is grown on the tops of mountains in small batches, picked and processed by hand. The coffee then makes it way to our micro roastery in the heart of Dublin City. The coffee is roasted by Alin Giriada who is our head roaster and Q Grader. Alin is a sensory expert which gives us an advantage of being able to roast our coffee in order to develop the best flavours within each specific batch. As we roast in small batches we also ensure that the coffee you subscribe to will be delivered to your door as fresh as possible each week.
